12 Years a Slave

As much as I loved 12 Years a Slave, I won’t consider it one of my favorite movies because of how realistic it was. It was as disturbing as it was amazing. The performances from Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender are chilling and unforgettable. Steve McQueen created a realistic snapshot of slavery that made me feel like I was there and certainly shared some of Solomon’s anguish. I think everyone should watch this movie at least once.
